Transparency about where our numbers come from is part of how we work. This page explains what we display, where it originates, and its limits.
Providers we rely on
- CoinGecko — prices, market capitalisation, trading volumes, dominance and 7-day series used in our dashboard, heatmap, asset table and converter. coingecko.com
- Alternative.me — the Crypto Fear & Greed Index shown on the dashboard. alternative.me
- Publisher RSS feeds — headlines shown in News Radar, each linking back to the publisher.
All rights in the underlying data and headlines remain with those providers and publishers. Their names and marks are used for attribution and identification only, and their appearance here is not an endorsement of AsterTracker by them, nor a paid placement of any kind.
How we fetch and cache
Data is requested from public interfaces at intervals (typically every few minutes) and cached on our server. This keeps the Site fast and keeps our request volume modest and respectful of providers’ infrastructure. Because of caching, figures on the Site may lag live markets.
Accuracy and limits
We do not create, verify or guarantee third-party market data. It may be delayed, incomplete, revised or wrong, and it must not be used as the sole basis for a financial decision. Always confirm prices on the venue where you intend to transact. See our Disclaimer and Risk Warning.
Calculated figures
Some figures shown are derived by us from provider data (for example the heatmap layout, gainers/losers ordering, and the estimates produced by our calculators). These derivations are simplified for clarity and education, and are not exchange-accurate.
